- What you are making
- a Google Business Profile, verified by Google
- Who does it
- You do. Figlix writes what you will be asked to type; the account is made on Google Business Profile's own screens, signed in as you.
- Afterwards
- Figlix does not post to a Business Profile yet: keep it current by hand in Google's own screens. Posting updates and replying to reviews from Figlix wait on Google granting access.
Before you start
- A Google account for the business, and a real place customers visit or an area the business serves. Google verifies the business before the profile shows on Search and Maps.
- Google ended questions and answers on Business Profiles in November 2025, so there are none to seed. The description and the website are where a customer's questions get answered.
The steps, in Google Business Profile's order
Create or claim the profile
Add the business: the name exactly as it appears on the signage (no taglines, locations or keywords — Google's guidelines rule those out, and a profile can be suspended for them), then the primary category below. If Google finds an existing profile, claim it instead of making a second one.
Say where customers find you
The address customers visit, or the areas you serve if you go to them; you can hide the address if nobody visits.
Verify the business
Google decides which ways are open to you: a phone call or text, an email, a live video call, or a postcard. Nothing shows publicly until it is done.
Add the categories
One primary category, then up to 9 more for what else the business really does — Google's list only.
Write the description
Edit profile → Business information → Description: the text below. No links, prices or offers — Google's guidelines rule those out.
Add the logo and photos
Photos → Logo, then photos of the place, the work and the team. Google may show a customer's photo first if it judges yours less representative.
Add the hours, phone and website
Only the business knows these. Keep the website current: people check it before they visit or call.
Each heading opens Google Business Profile's own page. In Figlix the same steps sit beside the words it wrote, at app.figlix.com/presence.
What Google Business Profile allows in each box
These are Google Business Profile's own limits, read from its help on 2026-09-30. Figlix writes each of these from your Brand Brain, inside the limit, so nothing is refused after you have pasted it.
- Business name
- Exactly as it appears on the signage, the website and receipts; Google publishes no length limit, and its guidelines rule out names padded with keywords.
- Description · up to 750 characters
- Up to 750 characters: what you offer, where, and for whom. No links, prices or offers.
The pictures it asks for
- Profile picture · square, at least 250 px
- The logo: JPG or PNG, 10 KB to 5 MB, at least 250 × 250 pixels; 720 × 720 looks best.
Once the account exists
Figlix does not post to a Business Profile yet: keep it current by hand in Google's own screens. Posting updates and replying to reviews from Figlix wait on Google granting access.
What is always true
- Figlix does not create the account. It would need your password, and the social platforms here forbid automated signup — so you make it, and Figlix has the words ready before you are asked for them.
- The words come from your Brand Brain, so they say the same thing everywhere, in the length each platform allows. You edit anything you like before you keep it.
- Where a platform has a handle, it is worked out from the brand's name under the platform's own rule, not written by a model. If it is taken, the page offers the next one.
- Nothing is sent from Figlix to the platform. You paste what you kept into the platform's own screen.
