Help · Setting up a brand's accounts

Set up LinkedIn for a business

What LinkedIn asks for when a business sets itself up, and what Figlix has written for each of those boxes before you start.

What you are making
a LinkedIn Company Page
Who does it
You do. Figlix writes what you will be asked to type; the account is made on LinkedIn's own screens, signed in as you.
Afterwards
Once the account exists, connect it in Figlix and it can post approved items for you from the Calendar.

Before you start

  • A personal LinkedIn profile under your real name, with connections and your role at the business listed on it — LinkedIn refuses a Page from a bare profile.

The steps, in LinkedIn's order

  1. Create the Page

Company → Small business. The name, the public URL (the handle below), the website, industry, size and type, the tagline, and the logo.

  2. Write the About

Me → Manage → the Page → Edit page → About: the description below, then the location and up to three hashtags.

  3. Add the cover

Edit page → Header: a wide image, 1128 × 191; the logo sits over its bottom-left corner.

Each heading opens LinkedIn's own page. In Figlix the same steps sit beside the words it wrote, at app.figlix.com/presence.

What LinkedIn allows in each box

These are LinkedIn's own limits, read from its help on 2026-09-22. Figlix writes each of these from your Brand Brain, inside the limit, so nothing is refused after you have pasted it.

Page name · up to 100 characters
The business's name.
Tagline · up to 120 characters
One line under the name, shown everywhere the Page is: what the brand does and for whom.
About · up to 2,000 characters
The full description: what you do, who for, where, what makes it different — the first two lines show before “see more”.

The handle

LinkedIn allows 3–100 characters, letters, numbers and hyphens. Figlix works one out from the brand's name under that rule rather than asking a model to invent one, and offers the next one when the first is taken. For Wedyesday, the brand every example on this site comes from, that is wedyesday.

This is the end of linkedin.com/company/… — it can be changed later, but links to the old one break.

The pictures it asks for

Profile picture · square, at least 300 px
The logo, square, 300 × 300 or larger.
Cover · 1128 × 191
1128 × 191 — very wide; keep words out of the bottom-left where the logo sits.

Once the account exists

Once the account exists, connect it in Figlix and it can post approved items for you from the Calendar.

A new account with nothing on it reads as abandoned, so Figlix also writes the first post from the Brand Brain — ready for somebody to approve.

What is always true

  • Figlix does not create the account. Every platform here forbids automated signup, and it would need your password — so you make it, and Figlix has the words ready before you are asked for them.
  • The words come from your Brand Brain, so they say the same thing everywhere, in the length each platform allows. You edit anything you like before you keep it.
  • The handle is worked out from the brand's name under the platform's own rule, not written by a model. If it is taken, the page offers the next one.
  • Nothing is sent from Figlix to the platform. You paste what you kept into the platform's own screen.
